PSU means public sector unit where one can get job in government companies and semi government companies.
IES is the Indian engineering Services Entrance exam from where you get selected in Government sector jobs at higher Post

Public sector undertaking companies gives job scopes for B tech , MCA and M tech pass out students. On other side IES exam gives scopes for only engineering students of civil , ECE. Mechanical and Electrical Engineering etc.

PSU offers the recruitment criteria in the organizations of public sector and some of the organizations which are related to the PSU's are..

Indian Engineering Service Exam is directed by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment of engineers in the Engineering Services of the Government of India.

IES is a paper-pen based, four-part government service examination .

Categories of which recruitment is made through the Examination

i. Electronics & Tele-communication Engineering Civil Engineering

ii. Mechanical Engineering

iii. Electrical Engineering

iv. Civil Engineering

Eligibility for IES

Applicants aged between 21 and 30 years o
Applicants must be B.E./B.Tech passed .

Public Sector Units conducts recruitment on the basis of GATE score .

Examination pattern will be different for vary from one PSU to another.

Number of Questions: 150-200 Question
Technical:75% of total questions
General aptitude with English: 25%
Time duration: 2 – 2½ Hrs
Negative Marking: 1/3

Selection Procedure
Stage-I:- Written Examination (Generally on Sunday)

Stage-II:- Interview and GD

Stage-III:- Medical Examination
