Re: Difference in NET UGC and JRF
NET is the National Education Testing Bureau. It's a national level Entrance examination The joint CSIR UGC NET is conducted by The Council of scientific and Industrial Research for postgraduate candidates of science and engineering who wants to get admission in PhD research or University level teaching jobs. The tests are conducted twice in a year in months of June and December. UGC NET made you eligible to join as a lecturer while you fight entrance exam of it While JRF stands for Junior Research Fellowship. Candidates who want to pursue research; they go for JRF is available for five years subject to fulfillment of certain condition. The JRF will make you eligible to apply for Post of professor while you crack the entrance exam to sit for PhD. Now it is depending on your interest what you want to do. Good Luck!!! |
