Can you provide me complete details for the Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test (TS TET) conducted by Government of Telangana State, School Education Department?

Government of Telangana State, School Education Department conducts Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test (TS TET) for the recruitment of Teachers for Classes I to VIII in Schools of all 10 Districts of Telangana State.

TSTET Eligibility

TSTET Eligibility Criteria for Paper I (Classes I - V)


One should have cleared Class XII or equivalent with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% aggregate marks for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PhD candidates).

One must have done 2 year diploma in elementary education/ 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B El Ed)/ 2 year diploma in education (special education).

OR

One should have cleared Class XII or equivalent with minimum 45% aggregate marks (40% aggregate marks for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PhD candidates).

One must have done 2 year diploma in elementary education/ 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B El Ed)/ 2 year diploma in education (special education). It may be noted that this eligibility criteria is valid only for one who has passed or admitted to D El Ed/ D Ed prior to issue of TSTET notification.


TSTET Eligibility Criteria for Paper II (Classes VI - VIII)

One should have cleared BA/ BSc/ B Com with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% aggregate marks for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PhD candidates).

One should possess a degree in Bachelor of Education (B Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B Ed- Special Education).

OR

One should have cleared BA/ BSc/ B Com with at least 50% aggregate marks (40% aggregate marks for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PhD candidates).

One should possess a degree in Bachelor of Education (B Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B Ed- Special Education). It may be noted that this eligibility criteria is valid only for one who has passed or admitted to B Ed course prior to issue of TSTET guidelines.

OR

One should have cleared 4 year BA Ed/BSc Ed course with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% aggregate marks for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PhD candidates).

OR

One should have cleared bachelor of oriental language (or its equivalent)/ graduation in literature/ graduation with language concerned as one of the optional subjects/ post-graduation in language concerned.

One should have also obtained a language pandit training certificate or cleared B Ed with language concerned as one of the methodologies. This criterion is applicable for language teachers only.

One appearing for the final year of B Ed exams/ diploma in elementary education is also eligible to apply for TSTET.


Age Limit for TSTET

There is nothing mentioned regarding age limitation of candidate. One must have all minimum qualification for filling and getting enrol into TS TET.


TS TET Application Form

One has to fill the application form online with applicant details such as name, date of birth, Education, etc. There is no other mode to apply.

One shall apply through online after payment of fee and generation of reference ID. After filling the online application, printout should be generated.


Application Fee

Mode of payment would be online or offline mode.
Application fee amounts to Rs-200/- for general category candidates.
Relaxation will be given to the reserved candidates when the official notice will be released by the authority.


TS TET Admit Card
One has to download the admit card through online only.
One need to enter the applicant registration number and date of birth to download admit card.
The exam authority will not send the Admit card by post.

Result

The Result will be announced in online only.
The exam authority will not send the scorecard for individually
One may get the result by entering the hall ticket number on the official website.
One must take the print of the result for future reference.
The result shows the candidate Name, marks /Score roll number, exam center and other information.


Weightage of TET Scores in the Teacher Recruitment of the State

20% weightage to TET scores shall be provided in the Teacher Recruitment of the State Government. i.e., 20% weightage is for TET and 80% weightage for written test in Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) based on which selection lists shall be prepared.


TS TET Exam Pattern

There are 3 Papers

Paper-I is basically teaching at Primary level (I-V).
Paper-II is teaching at Upper Primary level (VI-VIII).
Paper-III includes those who are interested in teaching I-VIII standard.
The question paper carries of 150 marks.
Total no. of questions would be 150.
Duration of the exam is 1.5 hrs.
The question paper consists of questions related to Language-1, language-2, pedagogy, mathematics and environmental studies.
Each section carries 30marks.
In order to qualify the test one need to score 60% marks.
