The Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET) is an entrance exam for those who want to join as student members of the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) and plan to take & qualify in the various actuarial exams conducted by the IAI. If one is already a member of the IAI, one need not to take this entry exam and can continue to appear for the various actuarial examinations. ACET Important Dates (Tentative) The exam is conducted twice in a year: ACET June Registrations Start: February Registrations Close: April Date of Exam: June Date of Results: July Last Date to take Student Membership Admission (if wants to appear for November Exam): July ACET December Registrations Start: August Registrations Close: August Date of Exam: December Date of Results: January Last Date to take Student Membership Admission (if wants to appear for June Exam): January ACET Eligibility Criteria One should have passed 10+2 from a recognized central or state board of education in India. One should have studied English as one of the core subjects. Ones, who already qualified higher level education and also those working and having qualifications in mathematical subjects, is also eligible to appear in the entrance exam. Postgraduate, Graduate, Engineering students, Chartered, Management students and Cost Accountants, Company Secretaries degree holders in Statistical Sciences and Mathematical etc., can also apply. ACET Registration Registration of ACET is an online process so eligible candidates can read the steps below to apply for the CBT: Fill basic, academic and contact details on the registration form carefully. Once the form is completed, fill the ACET registration fee online. On successful transaction, one will receive a confirmation mail on the registered email address. One must get a print out of the completed registration form of ACET for future reference. Application Process One can apply online for the exam on the official website of IAI The registration fee (non-refundable) is Rs.3000 which includes the cost of the study material, ACET online exam and online tutorials. Payment can be made through credit/ debit card or internet banking. Keep a printout of hall-ticket (admit card) Documents required at the time admission registration: 10th Mark Sheet 12th Mark Sheet Date of Birth ID Proof (Birth Certificate, Pan Card, Passport, School/College Leaving Certificate) Photo ID Proof (Pan Card, Passport, School/College Id Proof) Name Change Document (If required) ACET Admit Card IAI released the ACET admit card in online mode. One may download ACET admit card from the official website. It is mandatory to report at the CBT venue with the admit card for verification purposes. ACET Result The result of ACET is made available by IAI in online mode. Candidates need their login credentials to obtain the result. The result shows whether a candidate has met the passing criteria or not. ACET Exam Pattern The question paper will be MCQ type. The whole question paper will be of 100 marks. Each question will have one correct answer. It will be divided into two sections - Section-I - Mathematics, Statistics, and Data Interpretation will contain 55% of weightage. Section-II - English and Logical Reasoning will contain 45% of weightage. The Distribution of questions is among sections: 45 questions - 1 mark each 20 questions - 2 marks each 05 questions - 3 marks each Marking Scheme for ACET Exam 1 mark will be allotted for the each correct response. There would be negative marking for incorrect answers. For an incorrect answer, half of the weight age of marks will be deducted.
