Drug Inspector Exam is conducted by the UPSC.

As you want to know the eligibility criteria of Drug Inspector Exam so here it is given below:

Eligibility:
Candidates must have a degree in Pharmacy/ Pharmaceutical Sciences/ Medicine with at least 45% marks from recognized university.

Candidates having specialization in the following subjects shall be preferred: Pharmacology/ Microbiology

Candidate should have a minimum of 3 years work experience in the field of manufacturing/ testing of drug.

Examination Pattern:
There will be two papers including objective type questions in the exam for Drug Inspector.

Paper I: Pharmacy
Total Marks Allotted: 200
Duration: 2 Hours

Paper II: General Knowledge
Total Allotted Marks: 50
Duration: 1 Hour

As you want to apply for Drug Inspector Exam so for that you want to get Exam pattern and Eligibility of this exam so here I am giving you same:

Eligibility:
Candidate must have a Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicine with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from a recognized University or equivalent.

Age Limit:
Candidate age should not be more than 30 years.

Examination Pattern:
There shall be two papers in the exam for Drug Inspector. The papers shall comprise of objective type multiple choice based questions on the following major topics:

Paper I: Pharmacy
Total Marks Allotted:
200

Duration of Exam:
2 Hours

Paper II: General Knowledge
Total Allotted Marks:
50

Duration of Exam:

1 Hour

Syllabus:
General Studies & Mental Ability
1. General Science – Contemporary developments in Science and Technology and their implications including matters of every day observation and experience, as may be expected of a well-educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific discipline.

2. Current events of national and international importance.

3. History of India – emphasis will be on broad general understanding of the subject in its social, economic, cultural and political aspects with a focus on Andhra Pradesh National Movement.

4. World Geography and Geography of India with a focus on AP.

5. Indian polity and Economy – including the country’s political system- rural development – Planning and economic reforms in India.

6. Mental ability – reasoning and inferences.

7. Disaster Management (Source : CBSE Publications) Concepts in disaster management and vulnerability profile of India / State of A.P.Earth quakes / Cyclones / Tsunami / Floods / Drought – causes and effects. Man made disasters - Prevention strategies. Mitigation strategies / Mitigation measures.
