Income Tax Officer exam is generally conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC).

Salary
An income tax Officer gets the pay scale of Rs.6500-Rs.10,500.
The Government of India has fixed salary grades for its employees at various posts. Although they keep on changing with new pay commission

Educational Qualification
The applicant should hold a Bachelor's degree of any stream.

Age

The candidate must have attained the age of 18 years on 1st July of the year of examination and must not have attained 27 years of age on that date.

The upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

Chest:
81cm, fully expanded with a minimum expansion of 5 cm

Physical Test:
Walking:
1600 meters in 15 minutes

Cycling:
8 Km in 30 minutes

Salary Structure:
Pay Band- 2 (9300-34800)
Basic pay - Rs. 17140
Grade pay = Rs. 4600
Dearness Allowance 107% of Basic Pay = Rs. 18340
