Gujarat PGCET (Gujarat Post Graduate Common Entrance Test) is conducted by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses, Gujarat (ACPC) for admission to postgraduate programmes offered by the participating institutes of the exam.

Gujarat PGCET Eligibility Criteria


One must be a resident of Gujarat and should have completed his 10+2 in state of Gujarat.

To qualify in exam, one must have passed the 12th class qualifying exam from state of Gujarat only. One must have cleared B. Tech/B.E. Degree course with a minimum score of 50% in aggregate for general category candidates and 40% for SC/ST/SEBC category candidates.

GATE qualified candidates are eligible to fill the Gujarat PGCET application form online but no need to take the entrance test.


Gujarat PGCET Application Form

One needs to buy the user id and pin from any designated branch of Kotak Mahindra Bank.

After buying the user id and pin, one needs to register themselves online on the official website using the user id and pin.

Once registered, one should enter all the required information in the application form.

One has to upload the scanned copies of passport size photograph in any of the jpg, png, bmp format of max size 20 KB.

One has to submit the printout of registration detail along with the self-attested copies of all the relevant documents at the designated help centre.

For verification of documents one needs to carry the original document while visiting the help centre.


Application Fee

The application fee of Rs. 500/- need to be paid in cash while purchasing the user id and pin from the designated branch of Kotak Mahindra Bank.


Document required along with the registration form.
One has to submit the self-attested copy of following documents along with Gujarat PGCET registration form at the help center:

S.C. Examination (Std. 12th) Mark-sheet,
Diploma in Engineering Examination (If applicable)
Mark sheet of qualifying Examination
Degree certificate
Score card of GATE
Caste certificate, Physical disability certificate, certificate of ex-serviceman (if applicable)
Transfer Certificate or School Leaving Certificate.
Sponsorship Letter (In case of sponsored candidates only)
Letter of Experience (In case of sponsored candidates only)

Gujarat PGCET Syllabus

The syllabus for Gujarat PGCET 2020 will depend upon the branch of engineering for which the candidate is opting for. However, 20% questions in the Gujarat PGCET (Engineering Papers) will be asked from Mathematics. Syllabus for some of the branch of engineering is given below:

Civil Engineering: Engineering Mathematics, Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Transportation Engineering, And Surveying

Mechanical Engineering: Engineering Mathematics, Applied Mechanics and Design, Fluid Mechanics And Thermal Sciences, Manufacturing And Industrial Engineering

Electrical Engineering: Engineering Mathematics, Electric Circuits and Fields, Electrical Machines, Power System, Control Systems, Power Electronics and Drives, Power Electronics And Drives, Electrical And Electronic Measurements

Electronics And Communication Engineering (EC): Engineering Mathematics, Networks, Electronic Devices, Analog Circuits, Digital circuits, Signals and Systems, Control Systems, Electronic Measurements and instrumentation, Electromagnetic, Communications, Microwave Engineering, Computer Engineering etc.
