The Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is conducted by Anna University, Chennai on behalf of the Govt of Tamilnadu for admission to MBA, MCA, M.E./M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan degree programmes. Here I am giving you the details of this examination:

Tentative dates:
Commencement of Registration in Person/Registration through Internet: 01st Feb 2015
Last date of Registration in Person at Co-ordinating Centres and Registration through Internet: 18th Feb 2015
Last date Registration in Person at Chennai Centre and Receipt of Applications Registered through Internet: 20th Feb 2015

Required qualification:
The applicant should have completed bachelor’s degree in the respective subject with good academic record from any recognized university of India.

Paper pattern:
Part 1 (compulsory):
30 questions with 1 mark for each correct answer

Part 2(Compulsory):
30 questions with 1 mark for each correct answer

Part 3: Candidates must choose a choice of a section out of 14 based on area of specialization and answer 40 Questions with 1 mark for each correct answer

Negative marking of 1/4 for every wrong answer is applicable
