Steps-6 months sea service as trainee engineer+3 months preparatory courses (opt.) +passing in class IV part B exam.

Rank-Second Engineer
Salary-Rs 2,00,000/- to Rs 2,15,000/- pm
Steps-12 months sea service as IV engineer + 4 months preparatory courses+passing in class II exam.

Rank-Chief Engineer
