Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Staff Selection Board (UPSESSB) organizes the exam for UPTGT and UPPGT.
UPSESSB recently announced 7135 vacancies for both TGT and PGT. The Written Exam is to be conducted on 25 January, 01 Feb, 08 Feb, 2015 (for TGT) and 15 and 22 February 2015 (for PGT).

Date of TGT/ PGT Written Exam

Written Exam Date for Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT)- 25.01.2015, 01.02.2015 and 08.02.2015.

Written Exam Date for Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) – 15.02.2015 and 22.02.2015.

English Subject Syllabus of P.G.T.-

Section 1- Language

1. Unseen passage for comprehension.
2. Usage, Tense, Spelling, Punctuation, Narration, Vocabulary and Idioms and Phrases.

Section 2- Literature

A. Form of literature and figures of speech.
B. Authors and Works – William Wordsworth, John Keats, Charles Lamb, P.B. Shelly, Charles Dickens, Matheu Arnold, Alfred Tennyson, Thomas Hardy; T.S. Eliot, Kamala Das, Mulkraj Anand, Nissim Ezzekiel; Robert Frost, Walt Whitman, Ernest Hemmigway, William Faulkner and William Shakespeare.

Section 1-Language
A. Unseen Passage for Comprehension.
B. Part of speech, Spelling, Punctution, Vocabulary, Tense, Narration, Prepostion Usage, Transformation and Agreement.

Section 2-Literature

B. Authors and their work-Shakespeare, John Miltion, William Wordswarh and John Glaswarthy.

Selection Procedure: selection will be based on Written exam, interview and Special qualification basis.

Distribution of Marks given here under-

1. Written Exam- 85% Marks
2. Interview- 10% Marks
3. Special Qualification- 5% Marks
a. For P.hd/ D.Phil Degree- 2% Marks
b. For M.Ed Degree- 2% Marks
c. For B.Ed Degree- 1% Marks

Pattern of Written Exam:

Type of Questions- Objective Type
Exam Duration- 2 (Two) Hour (For Each Question Papers)

Date of TGT/ PGT Written Exam & Admit card:
Exam date for Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) - 25.01.2015, 01.02.2015 and 08.02.2015
Exam date for Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) – 15.02.2015 and 22.02.2015





Selection Procedure :
Selection for the post of TGT and PGT based on Written Test, Special Qualification and Interview test. marks of following stages as following-
(i) Written Examination- 85% marks
(ii) Interview – 10% Marks
(iii) Special Qualification- 05% Marks
