Re: IAS Exam Eligibility Domicile Criteria

Students will get relaxation in age upto a maximum of 5 years if a candidate had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from the 1st January, 1980 to the 31st day of December, 1989.

Other eligibility conditions will be same; there is no change in required qualification.

Required Qualification

The applicant should have completed graduation in any stream with good academic record from any recognized university of India.

Age limit:
A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, age relaxation rules are as following:

Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe: upto a maximum of 5 years.
Other Backward Classes: upto a maximum of 3years.
State of Jammu & Kashmir : upto a maximum of 5years.
Defence Services personnel : upto a maximum of5 years
