EAMCET: Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test

EAMCET is an entrance examination necessary for admission to some engineering and medical colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India.

Lots of other colleges offering graduation courses like BDS, B.Pharm., BSc., Pharm.D. , B.E, B. Tech, etc. need qualification in this exam. The coaching industry for the EAMCET is predictable at almost Rs. 50 billion (approximately $110 million) a year.

EAMCET 2014 Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must be Indian Nationals

Candidates should be from the state of AP and should please the Local / Non-Local status – as per the supplies of the AP Education Institutions order, 1974.

Candidates who want to give this exam should have passed the 10+2 with PCB or Bio-Technology / Biology as the optional subjects.

All the candidates should have minimum 45% in 10+2

In the case of reserved category 40% is required to meet the EAMCET Eligibility Criteria.

Age Limit:
Candidates should have completed 16 years of age as on year of examination.


EAMCET 2014 Exam Pattern:

Meduim of Language: English or Telugu.

Applicants opting to write EAMCET 2014 in Urdu must appear for the exam at Hyderabad only.

Subjects: Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.

Total number of question: 160 questions,
80 questions of Mathematics,
40 questions of Physics and
40 questions of Chemistry

All questions in EAMCET 2014 will be MCQ carrying
One marks of each question.

Time duration: 3 hours.

Eligibility

Eligibility For Engineering Courses:

Students have to appeared in or passed 10+2 class or intermediate exam with Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics as associated vocational or elective courses taken by Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate Education or any other equivalent exam.

Students must get as a minimum 45% of marks and 40% for reserved category in the subjects specified taken jointly at 10+2.

Age Limits
Students age should not be below 16 years as on 31st December and there is no age limit.

Eligibility For B.Sc (Agri.)/ B.Sc (Horti.) & Medical courses:

Educational Qualification
Students have to pass/ appeared in final examination year of intermediate exam or any recognized examination from equivalent board with compulsory subjects physical sciences, biological or natural science, agriculture and vocational courses in agriculture for B.Sc (Agri.)/ B.Sc (Horti.)

Students to follow medical courses must get as a minimum 50% and 40% for reserved category marks in physics, chemistry and biology and English

Age Limits
Students should be of 17 years on 31st December and age limit is 25 years.

As you want to apply for EAMCET Exam for that you want to know about Eligibility Criteria so here I am giving you information about same:

Eligibility:
Candidates must have minimum17 years of age.

Candidates must belong to the Andhra Pradesh state.

Candidates must be of Indian Nationality, Overseas Citizen of India.

Candidates must have passed the Intermediate examination or its equivalent from a recognized board with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology with minimum 45% marks for General.

40% marks for the reserved categories to meet the eligibility of EAMCET.

Candidates those appearing in the 10+2 or its equivalent examinations, will also eligible to appear in EAMCET.

Syllabus:
Physics Syllabus
The topics from Physics, which can be asked in EAMCET examinations, will be as physics world, units and measurements, elements of vectors, dynamics and kinematics, centre of mass, frictions and collisions, elasticity, gravitation and fluid mechanics.

Chemistry Syllabus
The chemistry will cover the topics as atomic structure, classification of elements, chemical bonding, molecular structure, states of matters, periodicity in properties, solutions and electrochemistry.

Mathematics Syllabus
The main topics which will include in mathematics syllabus will be as numbers, trigonometry, algebra, probability, vector algebra, calculus, and co-ordinate geometry.
