Re: Combined Defense Services exam age limit

The Combined Defence Services Examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment into the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy. Here are the details of this examination:

An aspirant must be either Indian, or
A subject of Nepal, or
A subject of Bhutan, or
A Tibetan refugee who came over to India with the intention of permanent staying in India before January 1st, 1962, or
An aspirant of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Srilanka, Burma or East African countries of Kenya, The United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, Malawi, Zambia, Zaire and Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the intention of permanently staying in India.

Required qualification:

For IMA & OTA:
The applicant should hold Degree of a recognized University or equivalent

For Naval Academy and Air Force Academy
The applicant should have completed B.Sc. with Physics & Mathematics or Bachelor of Engg from any recognized university of India.

Age limit:

19-24 Years Indian Military Academy

19-22 Years Naval Academy

19-23 Years Air Force Academy

19-25 Years Officers’ Training Academy
