Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will invite application to conduct PGCET 2015 Exam to get admission in to 1st Years / 1st Semester full time /Part time M.E/M.Tech / M.Arch courses. Karnataka PGCET Eligibility Criteria - Candidates must have passed the specified qualifying examination or equivalent examination with minimum aggregate of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects in all the years (45% of marks in case of SC, ST and Category-I candidates) Candidates who are in their final year are also eligible to apply provided they fulfill the above criteria at the time of admissions. 1. Candidates with a Valid GATE Score: Candidates must have scored above the prescribed qualifying marks for GATE and must have qualified in GATE 2013 or 2014 only. 2. Non GATE Candidates: Such candidates must appear for the Karnataka PGCET 2014 exam and score the minimum passing marks as specified. Part-A is common to h) Electrical and Electronics Engineering (E & E) i) Electronics and Communication Engineering (E & C) j) Telecommunication Engineering (TC) k) Instrumentation Technology (IT) l) Bio-Medical Engineering (BME) m) Medical Electronics (ME) n) Allied branches of Electrical Science (ABE) •Total Number of Questions : 45 Marks: 60 30 Questions Carrying 1 mark each : 30 X 1 = 30 15 Questions carrying 2 mark each : 15 X 2 = 30 Part-B is specific to candidates belonging to respective branch of specialization of engineering and consists of total number of questions: 30 Marks: 40 •20 Questions carrying 1 mark each : 20 X 1 = 20 •10 Questions carrying 2 mark each : 10 X 2 = 20 Marks = 40 Grand Total Part – A + Part-B = 75 Questions = 100 marks ix) Mechanical Science, this includes a) Mechanical Engineering (MC) b) Industrial and Production Engineering (IPE) c) Industrial and Engineering Management (IEM) d) Automobile Engineering (AE) e) Manufacturing Science and Engineering (MSE) f) Allied Branches of Mechanical Science (ABM) Question paper will consist of Part-A and Part-B. Part-A is common to (a) M.E. (b) IPE (c) IEM (d) AE (e) MSE (f) ABM Total number of questions : 45 Marks: 60 •30 questions carrying 1 mark each : 30 X 1 = 30 •15 questions carrying 2 mark each : 15 X 2 = 30 Total: 60 Marks Part-B is specific to candidates belonging to respective branch of specialization ofengineering and consists of Total number of questions: 30 Marks: 40 •20 Questions carrying 1 Mark each : 20 X 1 = 20 •10 Questions carrying 2 mark each : 10 X 2 = 20 Total: 40 Marks Grand Total: Part-A + Part-B = 75 questions Marks = 100 |

Karnataka PGCET stands for Post-Graduate Common Entrance Test .Karnataka Examinations Authority conducts the Common Entrance Test (CET) for undergraduate students in Karnataka who wish to study medicine, engineering, dentistry or agriculture and Post-Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) for graduate students in Karnataka who wish to pursue M.Tech, MCA or MBA courses. Eligibility: • Candidates has two options to become eligible to get admission one is through GATE Valid Score and other For PGCET 2014 Candidates. • For Full Time M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch courses : Candidates to get admission to these full time PG Course must have prescribed qualifying Examinations or equivalent examination with minimum aggregate of 50 % marks,45 % in case of SC/ST Candidates. • For Part Time M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch courses : Candidates must have prescribed qualifying Examinations or equivalent examination with minimum aggregate of 50 % marks,45 % in case of SC/ST Candidates.
