Procedure Required To Join CBI

I want to join Central Bureau of Investigation as an IB Officer. Will you please provide the procedure?

Direct recruitment to (CBI )Central Bureau of Investigation will be done through examinations taken by the Staff Selection Commission. It is done for three different posts:-

Assistant Public Prosecutor
Senior Public Prosecutor
Sub-Inspector

CBI has 4 broad categories –
Prosection
Ministerial
Technical
Executive
After you crack the written exam there are personality test or the interview session.

If you are looking at CBI Officer stream usually taken from IPS cadre and from the police departments.
Candidates need to appear for UPSC civil services exams and secure IPS if you want to get into executive cadre.
UPSC notifies for few direct recruitment mainly to lower executive categories and to technical cadre.

Educational Qualification:
Candidates who has pass graduation degree with at least 50% marks from a recognized university in following courses:
Law - LLB and LLM
Diploma in Criminology and Criminal Administration
Criminal and Correctional Administration
Diploma in Legal Science and Criminology
Forensic Science
M.Sc in Criminology
Diploma in Criminology
