Merchant Navy after Graduation in CS

I have completed my graduation in computer science and now want to join Merchant Navy so please give me all important details?

Merchant Navy appoint Marine Engineers for working of safe operations of ship engines, boilers, Heavy machinery of the ship, steam connections, maintenance of the ship, repair, up-gradation and construction of all the relevant marine machinery.

Eligibility for Joining Merchant Navy:

Either you have completed your graduation or 12th standard you can apply for the course and will get selected.

Minimum education qualification is 10+2 with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics)

The minimum height should be 150 CMS

Proportionate chest with minimum 5 cm expansion


Merchant Navy Courses in India:

B.E Marine Engineering
Duration: 4 years
Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English

B.S.C Nautical Science
Duration: 3 years
Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English

M.E Marine Engineering
Duration: 2 years
Eligibility: B.E Marine Engineering

As per as my knowledge you are not eligible to apply for Indian Merchant navy, application need to have gradation degree in mechanical engineering or marine engineering.

Here, I am telling you about the eligibility criteria so it will be clear to you,

Eliigbility Criteria:

Applicant with B.E Marine Engineering,
Applicant with B.S.C Nautical Science
Applicant with M.E Marine Engineering,

Age Limit:

Applicant age should between 16 year to 25 years

Eye Sight

6/6 without glasses, No color Blindness. (The candidate is subject to medical examination).

Medical Standards:

Applicant should be physically and mentally strong, fit for sea-services under standard norms
