MAHA-TET is an entrance examination which is organized every year by the Maharashtra State Council of Examination for the teacher post in Lower Primary (Class I-V) and Upper Primary (VI-VIII) at various state government schools.

Important Dates :

Starting date for online applications form: 01/10/2014

Last date for online applications form: 22/10/2014

Dates of deposit of fees: Between 01/10/2014 to 27/10/2014

Last date of receipt of application form: 30/10/2014

Date of written exam: 14/11/2014

Eligibility Test

Name of Post:

Lower Primary Teacher (Class I-V)

Upper Primary Teacher (VI-VIII)

For post 1:

Applicants must have passed class 12th or intermediate with at least 50% marks and also must have completed Diploma in Elementary education from recognized university or institute.

Applicants must have B.Ed Graduation Degree or its equal with at least 50% from recognized university or institute.

Exam Pattern:

Exam will be held in M.C.Q format and each question will be held of one marks.

Paper 1 will be held for applicants interested in Lower Primary Teacher Posts

Paper 2 will be held for applicants interested in Upper Primary Teacher Posts.

Application fee:

For Paper I or Paper II

General/ OBC category applicants: Rs. 500/-.
SC/ ST and differently disabled applicants: Rs. 250/-.

For Both paper (Paper I & Paper II)

General/ OBC category applicants: Rs. 800/-.
SC/ ST and differently disabled applicants: Rs. 400/-.
