How to Join IAF

Hello sir I completed by 12th with 70 % and now want to join Indian Air Force so can you tell me how can I join IAF????

The Indian Air Force is the air arm of the Indian armed forces. Its primary responsibility is to secure Indian airspace and to conduct Aerial warfare during a conflict

As you said you completed you 12th so can join Indian Air Force basically in three ways:-

-NDA
-CDS
-AFCAT

Out of these three you can join Indian Air Force after Graduation through CDS and AFCAT.

But just after 12th you can join IAF by appearing in NDA(National Defence Academy) entrance exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II.

Eligibility To Join IAF Through NDA:-
- You should be Unmarried male.
-Should have either appear for the final 12th exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects of studies from a recognised Board.
-Should be within the prescribed age of 16.5 to 19 years
-Should have possessed good Physical and Mental health.


The selection is through Written Exam and Personal Interview. Apart from this there is certain prescribed Physical Fitness test and finally Medical Test after which a candidate has been selected for his desired wing.
