To join Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), you have to give Combined Graduate Level Examination is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission once in a year.

Eligibility:

Candidates must be in the age group of 20 to 25 years as on the first of January of the year in which they are applying.

Candidates must be degree holders from a recognized university to apply for this examination.

The candidates will also have to fulfill certain physical standards like height of 157.5 cms and chest size of 81 cms, fully expanded with a minimum expansion of 5 cms.

Preliminary examination will have questions under following categories:

• English Comprehension
• Numerical Aptitude
• General Awareness
• General Intelligence and reasoning ability

While main examination will have questions to test following areas:
• Arithmetic ability
• Statistics
• English comprehension skills

To join CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) one has to appear for the Combined Graduate Preliminary Exam conducted by SSC Board every year. To join CBI the minimum eligibility criteria is as follows:

Citizenship of India

Graduate in any discipline from any recognized board or university.

Final year students are also eligible

Candidate must have attained the age of 20 years on 1st July of the year of examination and must not have attained 27 years of age on that date.

Upper age limit relaxation of 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates

The maximum attempts for general candidate it will be 5 years , for OBC candidate it is 7 years and for , SC/ST candidate is Unlimited

Physical Requirements

Height
For men -165cms
For women -150cms
Height relaxable for Hillman and Tribal: 5cms

Chest
76cms. with expansion

Eye-Sight (with or without glasses)
Distant Vision: 6/6 in one and 6/9 in other eye.
NearVision: 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in other eye

Entrance Exam
The examination comprises of two papers.
1. General intelligence & awareness
2. Arithmetic

Questions will be asked from the below sections in the Exams:

English Comprehension
Quantitative Aptitude
