Syllabus:

A. Banking: Impact of Policies and Regulations of Government on Banking and Financial-Services Industry, Measuring and Evaluating the Performance of Banks, Prudential Norms, Asset-Liability Management, Investment Portfolios and Liquidity Positions Management of Bank, Liquidity and Reserve Management, Managing and Pricing the Deposit Services, Loans to Businesses/Consumers, Credit management, Risk Management, HR Management, Treasury Management, Balance Sheet Management, International Banking, Economic analysis, Business mathematics, Advanced Money & Banking etc.

B. Computer Applications: Basic operations and classification of computers, input/output devices, Hardware and Software of Computer, Memory/Storage of Computer, Processing of Data, number system and computer languages, operating systems, networking, internet and e mail, maintenance etc.
C. Reasoning Abilities: This section will judge the reasoning abilities and mental aptitude of the candidate. From following categories, the questions can be asked: Grouping Identical Figures, Number/Alphabet Series, Direction Sense, Coding-Decoding, Embedded Figures, Number Ranking, Mirror Images, Arithmetical Reasoning, Age Calculation, Blood Relations, Analogy, Cubes and Dice, Decision Making etc.

D. Quantitative Aptitude: This section will be meant to check the quantitative and mathematical skills. From following categories, the questions can be asked: Number System, HCF/LCM, Fractions, Ratio, Proportions, Algebra, Unitary Method, Percentage, Time & Distance, Time & Work, Simplification, Profit & Loss, Average, Simple and Compound Interest, Mensuration, Data Interpretation.

E. General Awareness & Banking: This section will check awareness of the world around the candidate. Questions are asked mainly from: Current Affairs, Major Financial/Economic News/Problems, Budget, Five Year Plans, Who’s Who, Sports, Economy/Geography with special reference to Punjab, Awards and Honours, Inventions/Discoveries in Science, Abbreviations, History/Culture with special reference to Punjab, International/National Organisations.
G. English: By this test candidates are gauged on the language abilities and understanding of English grammar.
