CGPA in PGCET

Hello sir I am Utkarsh, I had got 7 CGPA in B.Tech and I am here as I want to know am I eligible for applying for Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (Karnataka PGCET)??

Yes you are eligible for applying for Karnataka Post Graduate Common
Entrance Test (Karnataka PGCET) as the eligibility criteria required for this
Entrance is:

-Candidates must be Indian Nationals

-Candidates must have passed B.E/B.Tech or equivalent exam with a
aggregate of 50% (45% forSC, ST and Category-I candidates)

-Candidates can apply on the basis of valid GATE score and will be exempt
from Karnataka PGCET.

-Such candidates will be given preference over Karnataka PGCET candidates

-Allotment of seats for Karnataka PGCET candidates will be 90% for
Karnataka candidates and 10% for non Karnataka candidates.

-Reservation guidelines will be applicable only for Karnataka candidates
(even for GATE applicants)


Domicile Criteria:

-Applicants must have studied and passed in one or more Government or
Government recognized educational institutions located in the State of
Karnataka for a minimum period of SEVEN academic years commencing from
Class I to qualifying examination either continuously or in broken period as
on 1st July, 2015

-Applicants who have taken more than one year to pass a class or standard,
the years of academic study is counted as one year only

-Applicants must have studied and passed the qualifying examination within
the State of Karnataka from an Educational Institution run or recognized by
the State Government

OR

-Applicants whose parents (either parent) should have studied in Government recognized institutions in Karnataka for a minimum period of SEVEN Years



The Aggregate Marks for the qualifying exam will be calculated as follows:

The aggregate percentage of marks =

Sum of the marks scored by the candidate in all the subjects of all the
examinations / semesters X 100
