Re: Ccsu cit
Offered jointly by the departments of Computer Science and Computer Electronics & Graphics Technology in CCSU (Central Connecticut State University), the Masters in Computer Information Technology positions graduates. The MS CIT program integrates multiple disciplines of the IT field, including computer science, management information systems, and networking and telecommunications, providing students with a broad and deep understanding of the field's theoretical and conceptual structure as well as the skill-based expertise needed to excel. Students choose from two specializations according to their interests and career goals: Computer Science or Networking & Telecommunications Technology. Both programs are application-based, ensuring that students will be expertly prepared for IT careers. And in both programs students learn to conduct and present applied research through collaborative projects reflecting real-world applications. Admission Requirements One must hold a bachelors degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education. One must also have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.70 on a 4.00 point scale (where A is 4.00), or its equivalent, and good standing (3.00 GPA) in all post-baccalaureate course work. One must submit a graduate application along with official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended to the Graduate Recruitment and Admissions. Additional Materials Required One must submit a resume and two letters of recommendation to be used in reviewing CIT-related work. At least 1 letter of recommendation must come from an individual who can attest to the applicants work experience; 2nd letter may be from an individual who can attest to the applicants academic ability and commitment. All additional materials should be sent to the MS-CIT Directors office, Maria Sanford Hall, Room 303, Central Connecticut State University, New Britain, CT 06050.
