Procedure to join Research and Analysis Wing.

I want to join Research and Analysis Wing. Provide me with the procedure
for the same.

There is no direct recruitment process in RAW.

To join RAW, candidate must clear all the stages of Civil Services exam successfully.
But generally, Civil Services exam toppers are eligible to appear for RAW
recruitment process.

Top officials are selected in RAW from IB, Army, IAS, CBI, etc.
They will be selected after a minimum service of 20 years in any of the aforesaid
organisations.

Alok Joshi, who is the current chief of RAW, is an IPS officer of Haryana Cadre
of 1976 batch.
In 2005, he was appointed as Joint Director of Intelligence Bureau and in 2010 as
Special Secretary at RAW.

From 30 December, 2012 to till date, he is working as Chief of RAW.
