Exam Pattern:
For Prelim ARS/NET examination:
There will one question paper of 2 ½ (Two and half) hours duration consisting of 200 objective type multiple choice questions.

Each question carries one mark.

Out of 200 questions 50 questions shall be of General Knowledge derived from the relevant broad seven main groups of Agriculture & Allied Sciences

The other 150 questions will be from the respective professional subject(s).

Where part B consists of more than one major discipline, questions will be evenly distributed in amongst all subjects to the extent possible.

If the candidate marks a wrong answer ¼ marks will be deducted for each question.

For ARS Main Examination:
There will be one paper of 240 marks with 3 (Three) hour’s duration and the questions from each discipline will be subjective with expectations of descriptive answers.

ASRB Combined ARS and NET (Prel.) Exam is directed by ASRB to decide the eligibility for Lecturers/Assistant professors by the State Agriculture Universities / AUs and to decide the eligible applicants for ARS (Main) Examination.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have a Master's degree or equivalent in the concerned subject

Age must be between 21-32 Years

Number Of Attempts :

The number of attemps will be limited to FOUR for all candidates(whether M.Sc/PhD) including the in-service candidates of ICAR.

Restriction will not apply to SC and ST applicants , who are eligible otherwise

Exam Pattern
ASRB ARS & NET Exam consists of two stages ie. Preliminary Exam ,Main Exam and Vica Voca

Main Exam consists of three parts as given below
