For the post of Uttar Pradesh Sub Inspector a candidate should have graduation or its equivalent degree from any of the reputed University in India.

Selection Basis: Interview, Physical Test and Written Test

Age:
Candidate age should not be more than 23 years.
There is an age relaxation of -
3 years for OBC reserved category candidates.
5 years for SC/ST reserved category candidates.
5 years for candidates who have achieved distinction in sports.

Nationality: you must be Indian citizen.

Physical Standards-

Minimum height needed-170cms

Chest size should be 81cms before expansion and minimum 85cms after full expansion.

A initial 5 kilometer run which should be completed in 25 minutes (* impossible without practice)

A long jump in which a candidate should jump a distance of 3.80 meters

A 100 meter sprint which should be completed in 15 seconds

An 800 meter run which should be completed in 170seconds

A high jump in which a jump of 1.2 meters is required

A shot put throw which should be thrown a distance of 5.60 meters (* practice makes it easy)

The pattern of the exam is given below-

Total 200 marks paper
Reasoning (70 marks)
General Knowledge (50 marks)
Numerical Ability (30 marks)
English (50 marks).

Numerical & Mental Ability Test:-

Numerical Aptitude:- Number System, Simplification, Decimal & Fraction, HCF LCM, Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple Interest, Compound Interest, Partnership, Time & Work, Distance, Use of Table & Graph, Mensuration & Miscellaneous.
