TTE in Railway Eligibility Criteria

Can you tell me about the required eligibility criteria for the post of TTE (Travelling Ticket Examiner) in Railway as I want to apply?

T.T.E or Traveling Ticket Examiner and the Exam for the same Post are conduced by Railways Recruitment Board (RRB) once every year. One cannot get recruited directly for the post of TTE because this is a promotional post. Railway conducts exam for the post of T.E/T.C.

Eligibility Criteria:

Citizen of India

Minimum 50% of marks in 12th standard from recognized state board of India.

Age between 21 to 25 years

The upper age relaxation is applicable for the other categories.

3 years upper relaxation for OBC

5 years upper age relaxation for SC\ST candidates

The Candidates who have more awareness of the general aspects is given preference rather then those who is only limited with his scope of knowledge.

Process of Selection:
A Written Test
Written test syllabus :
1/ Aptitude
2. General English
3. General knowledge
4. Logical and analytical reasoning

Followed by a Personal Interview
Medical test
