SCRA Who Is Eligible

I am making up my mind to write the SCRA examination this year, after completing my 12th. But as I am going for this examination for the very first I would like you to tell me that who is basically eligible for this examination. Kindly update.

I want to know the eligibility criteria to apply for Special Class Railway Apprentice (SCRA) exam so can you tell me?

Special Class Railway Apprentice (SCRA) is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission UPSC on behalf of Indian Railways for four years of apprenticeship.

SCRA Eligibility

You must have passed in the first or second division, the Intermediate or an equivalent examination of a university or Board approved by the Government of India with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination.

Age Limit:

Your age should be between 17 to 21 years as on 1st January of the exam year.

Upper age limit is relaxable for 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.

SCRA Exam Pattern

Part I is written examination carrying a maximum of 600 marks.

Part II is personality test carrying a maximum of 200 marks in respect of only those candidates who are declared qualified on the results of written examination.

The papers in all the subjects consists of objective multiple-type questions.

There is negative marking also. The question papers are set in English only.
