VITMEE is the entrance exam conducted by the VIT University for Admission to the masters programmes (M.Tech, MCA) available at the university Exam Pattern will be as follows: The VITMEE Exam will consist of Computer Based Tests and is completely online. Candidates will have to answer 100 questions Questions will be of multiple choice and numerical type questions The total marks for the VITMEE Question Paper is 100. The duration of the VITMEE exam will be 2 hours. The Question Paper will be completely in English There is no negative marking for wrong answers Offered course are: Courses Master of Computer Applications (MCA) M.Tech. Automotive Engineering Automotive Electronics Computer Science & Engineering Power Electronics & Drives BioMedical Engineering Energy & Environmental Engineering Sensor System Technology Information Technology (Networking) Structural Engineering Biotechnology CAD / CAM Mechatronics VLSI Design Communication Engineering Nanotechnology Syllabus: The duration of the Entrance Examination will be 2 hours. The Question Paper will contain 110 questions, with a maximum of 100 marks. English Sentence correction and comprehension Logical Reasoning Questions on comprehension of a logical situation and questions based on the facts given in the passage. Mathematics Algebra: Indices, variation, arithmetic progression, geometric progression, harmonic progression, quadratic equations, permutation, combination, binomial theorem, logarithms, exponential series, logarithmic series. Trigonometry: Sine and cosine of sum and difference of angles, sum and difference of sine and cosine, multiple angles, submultiple angle, general solution of trigonometric equation, properties of triangles, solution of triangles. Analytic geometry (Twodimensional): Rectangular Cartesian coordinates, distance between points, section ratio, straight line, circle, ellipse, parabola, hyperbola, tangent, normal. Calculus: Function, limit, continuity, differentiation, chain rule, differentiation of implicit functions, parametric functions, application of differentiation, integration, integration by substitution, by parts, by partial fractions, definite integrals, application of definite integral. Set Theory: Concept of set, set operations, cardinality, Cartesian product. Matrices & Determinants: Addition, subtraction, multiplication and inverse of matrices, evaluation of determinant of order up to four. Vector Algebra: Position vector, addition, subtraction, scalar multiplication, scalar product, vector product. Statistics and probability Frequency distribution, mean, median, mode, range, mean deviation, standard deviation, coefficient of variation, correlation, regression, probability, conditional probability, Baye’s theorem, binomial, Poisson, normal distribution.
