I want to know the educational qualification required to apply for IIT Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (JAM) exam?

Joint Admission Test (JAM) is an all India admission test conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institute of Science (IISC), Bangalore on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resources Development for admission into M.Sc programme.

IIT JAM Eligibility Criteria-

Education Qualification for IISc Bangalore:

Candidates should have First class for un‐reserved/OBC category candidates and second class for SC/ST and PwD category candidates in the qualifying degree.

Educational Qualification For IIT Guwahati:

Candidates should have at least 55% marks in major/honors and pass in all other subjects, including Languages and Subsidiaries OR

60% aggregate marks, taking into account all subjects, including Languages and Subsidiaries, all years combined, for un‐reserved/OBC(NCL) category candidates; AND at least

50% marks, without rounding off, in major/honors and pass in all other subjects, including Languages and Subsidiaries, OR

55% aggregate marks, taking into account all subjects, including Languages and Subsidiaries, all years combined, for SC/STand PwD category candidates, in the qualifying degree.

Educational Qualification for all other IITs:

Candidate should have at least 55% aggregate marks for un‐reserved/OBC Category candidates and at least 50% for SC/ST and PwD category candidates in the qualifying degree.

Announcement of the Results of JAM 2016: 23rd March 2016

Submission of Application Form for Admission on the JAM 2016 Website : 15th - 24th April 2016

Last Date for Receipt of Request for Change of category along with valid documents in proper format at IIT Madras: 29th April 2016

Declaration of First Admission List: 15th June 2016

Declaration of Second Admission List: 29th June 2016

Declaration of Third and Final Admission List and the Closure of Admissions through JAM 2016: 11th July 2016
