Qualification For Assam TET Exam

I want to apply for Assam Teachers Eligibility Test TET Exam so can you please tell me the Qualification required to apply for the exam?

Assam Teachers Eligibility Test (ATET) is conducted by Government of Assam Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) for the candidates aspiring to become teachers in primary (class I -V) and upper primary (VI-VIII) schools in the state of Assam.

Assam TET Exam Eligibility Criteria-

For Graduate Teachers in Secondary Schools-

Graduate teacher has been prescribed as BA/B.Sc/ B.Com with 50% marks with B.T./ B.Ed. degree from any recognized university.

Hindi Teacher:
Pravin/ Ratna in Hindi with 50% marks having degree qualification from any recognized university or B.A with Hindi as one of the subject with 50% marks and B.T / B. Ed. degree from any recognized University.

Classical Teacher (Sanskrit):-
Shastri with 50% marks having degree qualification from any recognized University or B.A with Sanskrit as one of the subjects with 50% marks and B.T/ B.Ed degree from any recognized University.

Classical Teacher such as Arabic, Urdu, Persian etc:-
MM with 50% marks with degree qualification from any recognized University or B.A with Arabic as one of the subjects with 50% marks and B.T./B.Ed. from any recognized University.

Classical Teacher (Assamese Language, Manipuri Language):- B.A with Honours/ Major in concerned subject with 50% marks and B.T. /B.Ed. degree from any recognized University.

The Candidate must be a Citizen of India.

Graduate having 50% marks from a recognized University with B.T/B. Ed. from a recognized University.

Age of the candidate should not be above 38 years. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

For Post Graduate Teachers in Secondary/ Senior Secondary Schools:

The candidates must have Masters degree (MA/M.Sc./M.Com) with minimum 50% marks in relevant subject with B.T./B.Ed degree from any recognized University.

Candidate must have minimum 50% marks in Masters Degree in Arts/Science/ Commerce from a recognized University with BT/B.Ed. Please note that 50% marks means 50% marks and no rounding off will be considered. No Degree other than M.A/M.Sc /M.Com will be considered.

The Candidate must be a Citizen of India.

Age of the candidate should not be above 38 years. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
Age relaxation is applicable as per govt. Office Memorandum as applicable.
