Punjab PG Medical Admission (Punjab PG Medical) 2016 is a gateway exam for seeking admissions to MD/MS/Diploma programme in the medical colleges of Punjab. The 50% of the seats in state government medical colleges in Punjab will be filled on the basis of Punjab PG Medical exam scores; the remaining 50% is reserved for candidates coming through AIPGMEE. Punjab PG Medical 2016 Important Dates: Availability of Prospectus January 5, 2016 Last date of online registration January 27, 2016 Last date of online registration with late fee February 2, 2016 Last date of depositing fee February 3, 2016 upto 4.00 PM Last date for submitting admission application form for NRI quota February 3, 2016 Availibility of Admit cards February 8, 2016 Examination Date February 13, 2016 Declaration of Result February 19, 2016 Punjab PG Medical Eligibility: Eligibility criteria to enroll in MD/MS/Diploma programmes: • One needs to be a citizen of India and born in Punjab and hold a MBBS degree from a Medical college located in or outside Punjab. The college should be affiliated to an Indian University recognized by MCI and the Government of India. • One must have completed the compulsory 1 year rotary internship. • Counseling and admission is the sole discretion of the Admission/Selection Committee constituted by the government of Punjab. Punjab PG Medical Exam Pattern: The structure of the exam pattern for Punjab PG Medical 2016 is given below: • Punjab PG Medical 2016 is an online computer-based test • The test will be Multiple-Choice type consisting of 200 questions • Candidates need to attempt all the questions • Duration of exam is 3 hours; 11 am to 2 pm • Each correct attempt will carry one mark. There will be no negative marking • Questions will be related to the MBBS Syllabus |
