No, Maths is not a compulsory subject for medical entrance exam. For medical entrance a candidate should have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the main subject. If a candidate has both Biology and Maths in 12th then for medical exam at that time one has to give the exam of Biology.

MBBS Entrance Eligibility

The candidate must have completed the age of 17 years.

The upper age limit is 25 years.

The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes

Only those candidates are eligible to take who have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English subjects individually

Minimum marks for candidates educated abroad seeking admission in medical colleges in India must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English up to Class 12 with 50% marks and their equivalency determined as per regulations of Medical Council of India and the concerned university.
