PMET, is held for admission of aspiring applicants to various bachelor medical courses such as M.B.B.S., B.D.S., B.A.M.S. and B.H.M.S. in the entire medical, dental, ayurvedic, homoeopathic Institutes across Punjab. Eligibility Criteria: Applicants should have passed (with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in case of general Category and 40% in respect of Applicants belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes) the Senior Secondary examination or Applicants must have pass the Indian School Certificate Examination, which is equivalent to 10+2 after a period of 12 years study, the last 2 years of study must comprise of Physics, Chemistry, Biology with English as compulsory subject. Aspiring Applicants must have attained the age of 17 years on 31st December of the year of application. Exam Pattern The Punjab PMT paper will be of 150 minutes duration comprises of 200 multiple choice questions from the following subjects: 1. Chemistry – 50 questions. 2. Physics – 50 questions. 3. Biology – 100 questions. For every correct answer, applicants will get 4 marks and for every incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted. |
