In order to become IPS Officer students has to crack civil services examination being arranged by Union Public Service Commission every year.

The selection procedure to become an IPS Officer is by
- Civil Services Aptitude Test
-Civil Services Main Examination
-Interview.

Here I am providing detailed information of IPS exam for your idea .

Eligibility Criteria:
Students should possess Degree in any discipline from any University recognised by Government.
Age of the interested students should not be less than 21 years and should not be than 30 years to be eligible for IPS Exam.

Exam Pattern:
Paper I Objective Type - 2 hours duration - 200 Marks
Paper II Objective Type - 2 hours duration - 200 Marks
Paper III English Language Descriptive Type - 3 hours duration - 200 Marks
Paper IV Essay - Descriptive Type - 3 hours duration - 200 Marks
Paper V General Descriptive Type - 3 hours duration - 200 Marks
Interview - 200 Marks
