Procedure to become a CID Officer
I have completed 12th in commerce and want to become CID Officer so please give me the procedure to become CID Officer?

CID is Department is a crime detection agency under the Government of India and it was established on the 1st of April 1906. CID officers are also known as Detectives. Some other divisions of CID are Finger Print Bureau and the Crime Investigation Bureau. Exam to Become CID Officer: Exam to become CID Officer is Indian Civil Services examination that is held by the Union Public Service Commission every year. Educational qualification: Candidate must passed class 12 can join as a Sub Inspector Candidates who have passed Graduation are eligible for officer level post So you need to complete your graduation first to become CID Officer. After 12th you are only eligible for Sub Inspector post in CID. Preparation of Exam and Interview: For cracking exam and interview of CID you must have excellent communication skills and for developing these skills, you need to read newspapers, watch informative television programs, read crime novels or autobiographies. |

Criminal Investigation Department (CID), a crime detection agency under the Government of India, considered as a special wing - the investigation and intelligence wing- of the police force in many Indian states. CID investigates specified class of cases as well as the cases entrusted by the Government and DGP (Director General of Police). ELIGIBILITY FOR CID: EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: Aspirants should have a degree from a recognised university. Actually qualification will depend on the level you want to join. 1. For constables it is 10+2th standard 2. For SI and other officers it is graduation. 3. For SI/ Officer level you have to qualify competitive examination. you need to qualify civil services for entry in IPS you can get posting in CID. AGE LIMITATION: Aspirants should have age in between 20 yrs to 25 yrs. Examination: Aspirants who wish to join the Crime Investigation Department must appear in the Indian Civil Services examination that is held by the Union Public Service Commission.
