Procedure to Apply for IAF after 12th

I have completed class 12th and now want to apply for IAF so please give details about procedure and eligibility criteria?

To join Indian Army after 12th you have to take admission in NDA (National Defense Academy) and for admission you have to clear the UPSC exam and SSB interview.

Exam Pattern:
300 marks for Maths
600 for Physics, Chemistry, English, History, Geography, G.K, IQ, etc

Naval Academy offers 4 years B. Tech course after 12th and it is situated in Ezhimala, Kerala.

1. 10+2 Tech Entry
Engineers fields:
Marine Technology
Armament Technology
Electronics (sensors and radar)

2. 10+2 Tech Navy
Mechanical
Engineering
Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Procedure to Join:
The selection is based on the PCM percentage scored in class 12th and SSB performance only.

Students who have scored above 70% -75 % will generally get a call for SSB.

3. 10+2 Tech Army
10+2 Tech cadets get trained in CME - College of Military Engineering Kirkee, Pune.

Procedure to Join:
The selection is based on the PCM percentage scored in class 12th and SSB performance only. No written exams are being conducted for this entry.

Students who have scored above 75% will generally get a call for SSB after clearing the SSB interview candidates will be put in a merit list.

Procedure to apply for IAF after 12th is invites for NDA exam that is conducted by UPSC. Candidates need to apply for NDA exam to join IAF.

After 12th, the examination conducted twice a year by UPSC for entry into NDA. Candidates need to appear for the NDA Exam (National Defense Academy

If you come in the merit list of this exam, you go for three years' training in NDA after which you get a bachelor's degree depending on the subjects you studied there.

Age Limit-

Education:

To join Indian Air Force as Flying Officer after 10+2 Science stream

Age:

Candidate’s age should be between 16½-19 years at the time when the course starts at NDA.

Gender-

Only male candidates are eligible to apply.

Only male candidates are eligible to apply for 10+2 entry scheme and become Flying Officers.

Physical Standards (Basic):

To join IAF, candidates, irrespective of the entry mode and educational qualifications, must satisfy a basic set of Physical standards:

Weight and Height ratio
Good Physical and Mental health
Good hearing
Well developed chests (expansion should be at least 5cm after full inspiration)
Healthy Bones and Joints

Applying process:

This examination is held by UPSC twice a year.
Usually, the advertisements are put up on May and December each year.
