Chartered Accountant Common Proficiency Test conducted by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for admitting the students to Chartered Accountancy course.

CPT Registration Procedure

Applicants can adopt any of the ONLINE or OFFLINE mode for CPT Exam application.

For Off Line Mode

Applications for admission to Common Proficiency Test is required to be made in the relevant prescribed form as contained in the Information Brochure, which may be obtained from:

The Additional Secretary (Examinations)
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India
ICAI Bhawan, Indraprastha Marg
New Delhi – 110 002

on payment of Rs.1000 (Rs.500 towards examination fee and Rs.500 towards cost of application form and Information brochure) per application form.

For Online Mode

Applicants have to fill up the examination application form online

CA CPT Course and CA CPT Exam Fee

For CA CPT Course

The registration and tuition fee is Rs.6000 which is to be paid at the time of submitting the fully filled in application form for registration.

For CA CPT Exam
Applicants has to follow the examination notification to be issued by the Examination Department of the ICAI and apply in the prescribed form along with the examination fee of Rs.1000. Examination Department will announce the examination centres and issue admission card.

Date of Commencement of Online Filling of CA CPT Exam Form:
7th Oct, 2014

Last Date for Receipt of Hard Copy of Online Filled up Examination Form:
28th Oct, 2014

Date of CPT Examination:

Date of Declaration of Result:
Around one month from the date of examination

As you want to do registration for CPT course for that you have to fill form of registration so here I am giving you process of getting registration form.

Firstly go on official website of ICAI The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

On that page you have to go on student section which is in the upper side of page.

On that section you have to do click on course registration option.

And then on new page you have to do click on Application Form for Registration to Common Proficiency Test Course option.

Then you will get form in a PDF file.
