Re: National Eligibility Test Eligibilty Criteria

NET examination is organised by UGC Twice a year.The examination is generally done in the month of June and December every year.Only those applicants who have done post graduation can apply for the exams.

Eligiblity
Applicants must have got master’s Degree with 55% from universities recognised by UGC you can apply for the examination

Final year students can also appear for the exam

For Junior Research Fellowship –
Applicants should be not more than 28 years.
A relaxation upto 5 years is provided to SC, ST and for OBC Applicants

For Lectureship –
There is no upper age limit for applying for lectureship.

Examination Pattern :
There will be total three papers in the examination .
one paper is common for all students who have applied for the NET examination .
Two papers will be done on the optional subjects which you have chosen .

Paper-I :: It is done to test the teaching/research aptitude in the Applicants.
Question asked will be based on ::

Reasoning ability
General awareness.
Comprehension
Divergent thinking

Paper-II :: Objective types and on the optional subjects

Paper-III : Descriptive questions on the subjects chosen by the students .

Eligibility:

Qualification:
Candidate must have master’s degree in same relevant discipline from a recognized University.

Candidate must have minimum 55% of marks in master’s degree.

Age Limit:
There is not any age limit for applying this course.
