To obtain the Degree, the students of B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) need to accumulate 200 credits by pursuing the mandatory courses prescribed by the Bar Council of India and elective courses develop by the university. One also needs to pursue courses in social sciences and humanities.

The foundational mandatory courses in History, Political Science, Economics, Sociology and English offered in first two years are built upon in inter-disciplinary seminar courses offered in the senior years of the degree. Elective courses with varying credit loads are offered by regular adjunct and visiting faculty. Each credit is equivalent to 16 hours of class teaching.
