B.Ed program

Duration

The duration of the Course is 2 years; a student has to complete his/her program within 4 years

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates having graduation / Post -graduation with 55% marks are eligible. There shall be relaxation of 5% marks in favour of SC/ST/OBC and other categories of candidates

In service teachers who have passed the undergraduate degree in the following subjects can apply for B.Ed through distance mode

Tamil, English, Mathematics/Applied Mathematics/ Physics/ Geo-physics /Bio-Physics/ Applied Physics/ Electronics/ Chemistry/ Applied Chemistry/ Bio-Chemistry/Botany, Environmental Science/Bio-Technology/Plant Biology/Zoology/ Micro-biology/History/Geography/ Applied Geography/ Computer Science/ Computer Applications, Information Technology

Candidates with other subjects are not eligible; or a Post-Graduate degree in Economics/Commerce/Home Science, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy, Logic and Indian Culture

Teaching experience at least 2 years of teaching experience serving in Schools in Tamil Nadu (Nursery /Primary / Secondary / Higher Secondary/ Matriculation Schools) recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu / Govt. of India

Selection Process-

Selection will be made on the basis of the performance in the entrance exam and by following the Govt Norms

Medium of Instruction: The medium of instruction is English

Entrance Test: Admission will be done based on the score obtained by the candidate in the entrance examination conducted by the M.S.U only
