About the university:
Himachal Pradesh University is a public non-profit university at Summer Hill about 5 km from the world-renowned hill-station Shimla, in the vicinity of the Indian Institute of Advanced Study.

Eligibility:
Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree (Medical/Non-Medical/Commerce/Arts) and or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/ Social Sciences/Humanity, Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks

Application fees:
For General/OBC & their Sub-Categories: Rs.800/-
For SC/ST & their Sub-Categories: Rs.400/-

Quota:
85% seats are reserved for Bonafide/Domicile candidates of H.P. and 15% to the candidates of other States. One supernumerary seat for Single Girl Child is reserved in the dept of Education H.P. University, Shimla

Intake:
The NCTE has approved a total number of 100 seats, out of which 50 seats are in Non-Medical Stream, 30 seats in Medical Stream, 15 seats in Arts Stream and 05 seats in Commerce Stream, which are filled up as per 100-point roster
