Manonmaniam Sundaranar University (MSU) is a dynamic institution of higher learning, set in a rural milieu of southern Tamil Nadu, with a campus spread of 550 acres.

The University was established by the Government of Tamil Nadu as a teaching-cum-affiliating University on 7th September, 1990.

Eligibility

Candidates who have secured their Masters Degree and M.Phil. with 55% or its equivalent grade of marks (relaxation of 5% of marks to SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer)/differently abled under (11+1)/(10+2)+3+2 pattern of courses of study are eligible, however, candidates who have passed Masters Degree through Open University system are not eligible

Qualifying Examination is mandatory for registration to M.Phil & PhD those candidates who have completed M.Phil should also write the qualifying examination for registration to PhD Program

Candidates with NET/SET/JRF/GATE qualifications are exempted from Qualifying Exam
A pass in the Qualifying Examination is valid for one year
