Co-ordinate Geometry : Rectangular Cartesian co-ordinates, equations of a line, mid point, intersections etc., equations of a circle, distance formulae, pair of straight lines, parabola, ellipse and hyperbola, simple geometric transformations such as translation, rotation, scaling.

Computer Basics : Organization of a computer, Central Processing Unit (CPU), Structure of instructions in CPU, input / output devices, computer memory, memory organization, back-up devices.
Data Representation : Representation of characters, integers, and fractions, binary and hexadecimal representations, Binary Arithmetic: Addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, signed arithmetic and two’s complement arithmetic, floating point representation of numbers, normalized floating point representation, Boolean algebra, truth tables, Venn diagrams.
Computer Architecture: Block structure of computers, communication between processor and I / O devices, interrupts.
Computer Language: Assembly language and high level language, Multiprogramming and time sharing operating systems, Computer Programming in C.
Operating System basics: Multiprogramming and timesharing operating systems.

MCA (Master of Computer Application) Admission 2014 Admission to First Year/Direct Second Year (separate division and lateral entry) to 3 year full time post graduate degree course in Master of Computer Applications (MCA) for the academic year 2014-15 Applications are invites for MHA-MCA CET 2014 for admission to First Year/Direct Second Year (Separate Division and Lateral Entry) of Three year full time Post Graduate Course in MCA in the Govt. Government Aided, University Managed, University Departments and Unaided Institutes in the Maharashtra State 1. Eligibility for appearing MHA MCA CET 2014 Eligibility Criteria: The candidates should fulfill the following criteria Passed with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of candidates of BC/PH categories belonging to Maharashtra State only) in any bachelor’s degree awarded by any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions estd by an act of parliament or declared to be deemed as a university u/s 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the MHRD, Govt of India and having studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or higher level examination; or Appeared for the final year examination of any bachelor’s degree to be awarded by any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions estd by an act of parliament or declared to be deemed as a university u/s 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the MHRD, Govt of India and having studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or higher level examination Such candidates can be considered for provisional admission subject to passing the degree exam with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of BC/PH candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) Note: The candidates who have passed Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS), Bachelor of Science (Computer/Information Technology) degree courses are not required to fulfill the requirement of having studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or higher level 2. Eligibility Criteria for admission to Maharashtra State candidates through CAP: a) First Year MCA i) Candidates should be an Indian National and should posses basic qualification ii) Appeared and qualification qualified in the Common Entrance Test MHA -MCA CET 2014 b) Second Year MCA for Lateral Entry/Separate Division i) Candidate should be an Indian National & possess basic qualification prescribed in computer application, Computer science or Science (IT/Computer) i.e. BCA, BCS or Bachelor of Science (IT/Computer) spread and qualified in the Common Entrance Test MHA-MCA-CET 2014 ii) Appeared and qualified in the Common Entrance Test MHA-MCA-CET 2014 3) Eligibility Criteria for Admissions to OMS candidates: a) First year MCA i) Candidates should be an India National and should possess basic qualification as specified in rule no 2.1 and ii) Appeared and qualified in AIMCET 2014 for seeking admission to MCA; or Appeared and qualified in the Common Entrance Test MHA-MCA-CET 2014 4. Translation in any other languages will not be available Maharashtra online CET 2014 would be comprised of two online papers of 100 Marks each of 45 minutes duration Maharashtra MCA Online CET 2014 Entrance Exam duration is 90 minutes viz, General Aptitude (GA), Computer Concepts (CC) MHA MCA CET 2014 will have Negative Mark system. Each correct answer will carry 4 marks. Each wrong answer will carry 1 negative mark.
