About the university:
It was rechristened as Maharshi Dayanand University in 1977 after the name of a great visionary and social reformer, Maharshi Dayanand. It had a unitary and residential character in its nascent stage, but became an affiliating University in November 1978. The University secured the recognition of University Grants Commission – the higher education regulatory body of India - for central Govt. grants in Feb. 1983.

It will be filled by the candidates who get enrol in the university after 1990. the candidates need to fill the details of the last examination they had given in the university.

The Special Chance shall only be admissible to the students who could not complete their degree. The students who still have admissible chance(s) to clear the degree, shall not be entitled to the special chance i.e. one enrolled from the session 2012 onwards shall not be eligible for the special chance.


For this Special Chance, a fee of Rs. 15,000/- per semester shall be chargeable. The special chance is admissible only to complete the degree for the students who have reappear in one or more papers and not for improvement of marks/division. For this exam the centres of examinations shall be at Rohtak only. The exam for the Special Chance shall be got conducted in July/August.
