Here is the syllabus of the Manipal Institute Of Technology MBBS Entrance Exam:

Newton’s laws of motion: First law of motion - force and inertia with examples -momentum - second law of motion, derivation of F=ma, mention of spring force F=kx, mention of basic forces in nature - impulse and impulsive forces with examples - second law as applied to variable mass situation - third law of motion - Identifying action and reaction forces with examples - derivation of law of conservation of momentum with examples in daily life - principle of rocket propulsion - inertial and non-inertial frames - apparent weight in a lift and rocket/satellite - problems.

Fluid Dynamics: Explanation of streamline and turbulent motion - mention of equation of continuity - mention of expressions for PE, KE and pressure energy of an element of a liquid flowing through a pipe - statement and explanation of Bemoulli’s theorem and its application to uplift of an aircraft sprayer.

The Manipal (MIT) Engineering Entrance Exam is conducted for offers admission in courses in engineering at the affiliated institutes of the University. The Manipal (MIT) Engineering Entrance Exam is conducted by the Manipal University.

Eligibility Criteria

The Candidate must be Indian nationals.

He/ She should have passed (10+2), A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology as optional subjects and a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.

Exam Structure

The distribution of questions & marks is as follows:

Course: B. Tech

Subjects/ Type No. of Questions
Physics 1-50=50 1 x 50 = 50
Chemistry 51-100=50 1 x 50 = 50
Mathematics 101-170=70 1 x 70 = 70
English & Gen. Aptitude 171-200=30 1 x 30 = 30
Objective Type Questions with equal weightage Total - 200 MM-200

Duration: 2:30 hrs.

Number of Seats in various Institutions

Reservation of Seats: Open for all states on the basis of Manipal University OET score.
