The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), a Deemed to be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956, was set up under the Department of Space, Government of India in the scholarly year, 2007 - 08. The Institute now offers undergrad BTech Programs in Aerospace Engineering, Avionics, and Physical Sciences.

ISAT Entrance Exam 2016 :

IIST reports admission to the accompanying undergrad and double - degree programs for the scholastic year 2016 - 2017, to qualified Indian subjects .

Competitors who are covetous to join B.Tech Programs in IIST must show up for the Joint Entrance Examination Main 2016 directed by Central Board of Secondary Education ( CBSE ), New Delhi to qualify themselves to show up for Joint Entrance Examination Advanced 2016 led by IITs and secure the base endorsed class astute checks in JEE Advanced 2016 as given beneath :

General Candidates ( GEN ) : At minimum 20% stamps in total and no less than 5% checks in each of the three subjects ( Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics ).

Other Backward Community - Non Creamy Layer OBC ( NCL ) Candidates : At slightest 18% checks in total and no less than 4.5% stamps in each of the three subjects ( Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics ).

Planned Caste ( SC ), Scheduled Tribe ( ST ) and Persons with Disabilities ( PD ) Candidates : At minimum 10% checks in total and no less than 2.5% stamps in each of the three subjects ( Physics Chemistry and Mathematics ).
