Selection Procedure : Direct Recruitment

i. Category No. 253/2014: Open Market

ii. Category No 254/2014 : From among the Graduate Ministerial staff of Police and Vigilance Department, Finger print Experts, Fingerprint Searchers of the Fingerprint Bureau who had completed two years of service in Police Department.

iii. Category No. 255/2014: From among Graduate Police Constables, Head Constables and officers of corresponding rank in Police and Vigilance Department who have completed probation.

iv. Category No. 256/2014: For non-graduate SC/ST applicants . If sufficient number of fully qualified candidates belonging to SC/ST communities are not available under category -I, the applications of those SC/ST applicants who have passed intermediate or pre-university will be considered only to fill up the quota reserved for them. (

Age Limit:
Category – I (Open Market): 20-31 Years, Only applicants born between 02.01.1983 and 01.01.1994(both dates included).
Category – II (Ministerial): Should not have completed 36 (Thirty six) years of age as on 01.01.2014.
Category – III (Constabulary) : Should not have completed 36 (Thirty six) years of age as on 01.01.2014

Eligibility Criteria:
Education Qualification :

Candidates must have obtained a Bachelor Degree from any recognized university or institute.

Age Limit :

Applicant’s age should be between 20 to 31 years for Armed Police SI post & Sub Inspector post.

Age relaxation will be applicable as per the government rules.

Selection Procedure :

Shortlisted candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in
Written Examination/OMR Test

Physical Efficiency Test.
