The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), is a Government-funded Organization, which is also a Deemed University.

It was established in 2007 and is located in Valiamala, Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala).

Programmes Offered

4-Year B.Tech. (Aerospace Engineering )

4-Year B.Tech. ( Avionics )

5-Year Dual Degree (B.Tech. + M.S./M.Tech. )

The 5-year Dual Degree programme leads to B.Tech. degree in Engineering Physics and any of the following Post-Graduate degree specializations:
(i) M.S. (Astronomy & Astrophysics) (ii) M.S. (Earth System Science) (iii) M.S. (Solid
State Physics) (iv) M.Tech. (Optical Engineering) (There is no exit option at the end of four years).

Only Indian citizens will be granted admission in UG Degree courses, in IIST.

Age:

General and OBC category candidates, seeking admission, must be born on or after 1 October 1991.

candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD category are entitled to the relaxation of 5 years, i.e. must be born on or after 1 October 1986.

Education Qualification:

Qualifying Exam Should have Been Passed with an aggregate of, at least, 70% marks (60% for SC, ST, PwD) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects.
