The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) invites application for admission in B.Tech program for the academic session of 2016-2017 on 8 June.

The admission will be done on the basis of JEE Main and JEE Advanced score.

Important dates-

Registration window will open on 8 June 2016 (at 10:00 am)
The proposed last date to register is 24 June 2016 (at 11:00 pm)
Application fee can be submitted in the bank till 27 June 2016
The last date to submit the payment details in the online application form 27 June 2016
Last date to upload the Institute’s copy of Bank challan 27 June 2016
For International candidates the last date for updating payment details and uploading the scanned image (PDF/JPEG) of the Demand Draft 27 June 2016
The last date for the receipt of Demand Draft by IIST (via post)
28 June 2016
Details of counselling and the release IISt 2016 admission rank list will be released on 29 June 2016

Reservation of Seats-

Scheduled Castes (SC) – 15%

Scheduled Tribes (ST) – 7.5%

Other Backward Castes (OBC) Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) – 27%

Persons with Disabilities (PD) – 3% (Horizontal Reservation)

IIST 2016 Eligibility Criteria

Qualifying exam should have been passed with an aggregate of, at least, 70% marks (60% for SC, ST, PwD) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects.

Entrance Examination:

Candidate should have written JEE Main 2016 and JEE Advanced 2016.
candidates must have secure the minimum prescribed (category-wise) marks -

For General Category: candidate must have secured, at least, 74 marks out of 372 (i.e. 20% marks out of the total), along 6 marks out of 124 in each subject (i.e 5% marks out of the total)

For Other Backward Class (Non- Creamy Layer) Category: candidates must score minimum of 66 marks out of 372 (i.e. 18% marks out of total) and should also secure, at least, 7 marks out of 124 (i.e. 4.5% marks out of total) in all Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

For SC, ST and PwD Category: candidate must have secured, at least, 37 marks out of 372 (i.e. 10% marks out of the total), along 4 marks out of 124 in each subject (i.e 5% marks out of the total)

Age:

General and OBC category candidates, seeking admission, must be born on or after 1 October 1991.

Candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD category are entitled to the relaxation of 5 years

Only Indian citizens will be granted admission in UG Degree courses, in IIST.
