IISC (Indian Institute of Science) has made significant contribution to advanced computing, space, and nuclear technologies. The detail about the BS Admission Criteria in IISC (Indian Institute of Science) is as follows:

IISC BS Admission Eligibility Criteria:
Students with a first class or 60% or equivalent grade (relaxed to pass class for SC/ST Students) in the II PUC / 12th Standard exam in the following subjects are eligible to apply-

Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects during their II PUC / 12th Standard.

OR
Biology, Statistics, Electronics, Computer Science, etc., in addition to Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

Students who are expecting to complete their II PUC / 12th Standard are also eligible to apply.


• The Students who have passed their Class XII exam or II PUC are eligible.

• The Students must have studied the subjects of Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics as main subjects in the class XII or II PUC level.

• As per the IISC Eligibility Criteria, the Students who have studied the subjects of Computer Science, Biology, Electronics and Statistics in addition to the above mentioned subjects are also eligible to apply.

• To be eligible according to the IISC Eligibility Criteria, the Students must have obtained at least 60% or an equivalent grade in the qualifying exam, mentioned above.
• The Students who have appeared or are appearing for any one of the following exams are eligible for IISC admissions:
o KVPY Fellows selected through the Empowerment Initiative for SC/ST candidates
o KVPY-SA (appeared in and selected as Fellow)
o KVPY-SB (appeared in and selected as Fellow)
o KVPY-SX (appeared in and selected as Fellow)
o IIT-JEE (Main) (appearing)
o IIT-JEE (Advanced) (appearing)
o NEET-UG (appearing)
o
• The minimum educational requirement as per the IISC Eligibility Criteria is follows:
o JEE Main: 60% (GN), 30% (SC/ST/PH), 54% (OBC-NCL)
o JEE Advanced: 60% (GN), 30% (SC/ST/PH), 54% (OBC-NCL)
o NEET-UG: The Students whose names are included in the All India Merit List will be eligible for IISC admissions.
o
• Mandatory Subject Groups as per IISC Eligibility Criteria:
o To take admission in BS course, the Students must have taken the subjects of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as a compulsory subject combination.
